Compulsive Sexual Behavior Therapy in Tennessee
Confidential, non-shaming online therapy for adults and couples affected by compulsive sexual behavior, secrecy, repeated relapse patterns, or sexual concerns that feel difficult to change alone.
When sexual behavior no longer feels fully chosen
You may feel caught between a genuine wish to change and a pattern that returns under stress, loneliness, shame, conflict, or emotional disconnection. The behavior can affect trust, intimacy, work, finances, self-respect, and the ability to feel present in relationships.
Therapy is not about moralizing or reducing you to a label. It is a place to understand the function of the behavior, take honest responsibility for its impact, and build a life with more choice, connection, and integrity.
Concerns we may work with
Pornography or sexual behavior that feels compulsive
Repeated secrecy, relapse, or broken agreements
Sexual functioning concerns and anxiety
Shame, isolation, and difficulty asking for help
Relationship impact after discovery or disclosure
Attachment wounds, trauma, and emotional avoidance
A thoughtful, accountable approach
My work is informed by training through IITAP and integrates relational psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, ACT, parts work, trauma-informed care, and couples approaches when useful. We look beyond simple behavior control while still taking consequences and accountability seriously. Goals are developed collaboratively and may include reducing harm, understanding triggers, rebuilding trust, and strengthening the capacity to tolerate difficult emotions without returning to the pattern.
Support for partners and couples
When compulsive sexual behavior affects a relationship, both partners may need room for their experience. Couples therapy can address stabilization, boundaries, communication, trust, and decisions about the future without rushing forgiveness or minimizing harm.
